I'm not really animated Fret - I just find it irritating being the sort of person who likes to call a spade a spade. I suppose, cross threading a little here, it is a PC way of describing prostitutes, dressing their job up as something requiring years of study and advanced learning. Kinda devalues people who spend their lives studying stuff and trying to cure cancer or designing buildings or understanding the universe - that's all.

and i disagree with you for once fire dancer....it is the oldest proffesion.... many many talented ladies have partaken in this proffesion....lets not confuse with street walkers..even prostitution has a ladder of sucess and a road down hill...

theres an excelent book about the misteresses of the french kings..what a varied bunch they were and very influential too...have as usual forgotton the title but could ask daughter who would probably remeber if any one is interested
