I hate most processed foods. When you go to the supermarket there are more and more processed foods being offered like frozen dinners. They are universally awful. I want fresh veggies (there are a few that are OK, peas and corn, frozen but the rest are woeful). I want fresh home made meats and not factory made dinners. Please no frozen pizza. Please no store bought breads. Baking fresh homemade bread is a joy and so easy. Please no TV dinners. Please no bottled prepared salad dressings (they're all YUK). I want fresh ingredients prepared from scratch (and I'll usually do the cooking myself).
Did I mention that I also hate fast foods like McDonalds, Burger King, Kentucky Fried Chicken, etc. ?? They all suck.

Soya beans And baked beans BUT I like bean juice. So when my hubby has beans on toast, I slip in an extra slice of toast and pour beans over. Scrape beans off my bit and there you have bean juice toast! never heard of beans on toast. I like my baked beans with a little vinegar

@ Carolyn - Egg Beaters are OK for making scrambled eggs so long as you don't overcook them (in which case they become rubbery and yukko). Use a non-stick fry pan, spray with Pam, let it get hot, pour in the Egg Beaters, stir fairly often so they don't burn and the liquid heats fairly evenly. Take them up when they're not quite done. Stir several times and let them finish in their own residual heat. They should be moist when served. Try them again my way and I'll bet you like them.
@ Fret - Beet root can be a great dish when properly prepared. Try this recipe for an unusual salad and I'll bet you will like it.
Celery & Beet Salad
Use a mandolin, a food processor, or a very sharp knife to cut very thin slices of celery (about 1 millimeter thick) to make about 2 cups for serving 4 people. Cut across the rib rather than lengthwise. Chill in the refrigerator for an hour or more.
Wrap two medium or one large beet in aluminum foil and bake in a medium hot oven (350 F) until a fork penetrates easily. Let cool and then rub the outer skin off under running water. Using a mandolin or very sharp knife slice beet rounds very thin. Chill them.
Make the dressing. 1 part wine vinegar, 1 spoon Dijon mustard, 3 parts extra version olive oil. Shake in a small sealed jar or container until well mixed.
Toss the celery slices with the salad dressing. Add salt and pepper to taste. Pour off surplus dressing and coat the beet slices.
To serve, pack the celery slices into single serving round custard cups. Place an upside down salad plate on top of the custard up and invert both while holding together. Carefully remove custard cup leaving an attractive cylinder of celery slices on the plate. Arrange several of the thin beet slices on top of the celery cylinder to cover. You can overlap the beet slices but try to keep them within the round celery cylinder. You should have an attractive salad plate with an approximately one inch high cylinder of celery topped by thin been slices. Very attractive and absolutely delicious.

Just discovered this evening that I've developed a dislike for pepperjack cheese. I used to love it, but I had some with my salad at dinner that burned my mouth fiercely. I love pepperjack on my chicken sandwich for lunch; just bought a pound of it on Saturday along with cojack. Soirry the cheese was to hot; someone wasn't paying attention while making the cheese By the way have you ever had a tour of a cheese factory? It is disgusting and smelly to tell the truth and I didn't eat cheese for a long time after our school group went to the local cheese factory

My older daughter is expecting and quesadillas are one of her craves. If she doesn't make them at home she picks up one on the way to work. Favorite cheeses for me are swiss, montersy jack, colby longhorn and land 0 lakes american.
