I can't stand lima beans and goat cheese. For some reason, goat cheese tastes like I imagine what a goat would taste like.
What foods do you not like?

Beth...what the heck are new potatoes? I's only 6:15 am here, so maybe I'm not fully awake, but I don't think I've ever heard of them.

Beth...what the heck are new potatoes? I's only 6:15 am here, so maybe I'm not fully awake, but I don't think I've ever heard of them. "New potatoes" are the little red ones that come into season in the late spring/summer. I do eat them occasionally, but only after they've been oven roasted with a coating of herbs and bread crumbs. A lot of people use these, with carrots and pork seasoning in a pot of fresh green beans. I don't mind fixing them this way for the family but won't eat them myself.

New potatoes are fresh from the ground with little skin on them. they are the first of the season. I like roasted potatoes with a coating of olive oil, garlic and rosemary.
I don't like Lima beans either. I think it's the texture. I'm not a fan of pickled beets and I really don't like beets period. I do like the cooked green tops from beets. I've never heard of bocconcini cheese, so maybe f I ever remember I will have to try it.

Ok....I went looking and found this:
"Round red
These potatoes are available mostly in late summer and early fall. They are easy to recognize with their red skin and white flesh. Red potatoes have a firm, smooth, and moist texture, making them well suited for salads, roasting, boiling and steaming. They are often referred to as “new potatoes”; however, technically, “new” refers to any variety of potato that is harvested when its skin is reddish, before reaching maturity."

Ok...I don't hate the following food item.....it just doesn't appeal to me at all. It just seems to really bother other people that I don't eat it.
Chocolate.

I've only known one other person that wasn't fond of chocolate. I guess the reason it really "bothers" other people, especially chocoholics like me, is that it's kind of like not liking Christmas. It is so loved by so many people.

But I'm a cheap Valentine's Date and if you need to hide your chocolate with someone I'm the perfect person.

I give chocolate to my husband to hide from me...however he doesn't hide it very well (e.g. his bedside nightstand...duh...that's too easy for me to find). I may just take you up on your offer, Sadie!

My older daughter was allergic to all chocolate except the white variety when she was a child. As a result, she never developed a taste for it and will still choose fruit flavors instead. My younger daughter is a chocolate fiend. I like it in good recipes for cake, pie and fudge, but can take it or leave it when it comes to candy bars, brownies, etc..

I've heard that white chocolate isn't really chocolate at all because it doesn't have any cocoa in it. With that said, however, I really LOVE it.
Here's another thing I really can't stand...escargot! UGH! I tried them once and thought I was going to vomit at the table.

UGH! I tried them once and thought I was going to vomit at the table. Yep, that darned ol' escargot disgusts me everytime, too. Fortunately, it doesn't turn up too often - in my kitchen, not at all;. About the new (red) potatoes: The thing I dislike about them is that, to me, they have an earthy taste - like I'd imagine dirt tastes - and I'm also reminded, for some unknown reason, of earthworms. I use olive oil, too, and herbs (basil, paprika) and seasonings (veg. zest, salt, pepper) to change the taste, then roast them with other vegetables or add bread crumbs and roast them alone.
