I like that one, Chris. This one, too. They've held up pretty well, all things considered.
I don't know Blur, but need to check 'em out.

This has to be the best Hall and Oates video available. In spite of fans in denial, Daryl is obviously flying so high on coke I'm surprised he didn't hit the ceiling, but his performance is incredible just the same. Live at the Apollo, Temptations as back-up, G. E. Smith on lead guitar (also feeling no pain). 1985. Fabulous. I want to add this direct link because the embed really does not do this one justice. Try it, you'll see what I mean.

Bruce Willis' version of the old Drifters' song, set to scenes from "Sin City" with Willis and Jessica Alba. It works very well.

Does anybody here care that Robert Plant does not seem to be interested in reuniting with the rest of the Led Zep crew for a reunion tour this year?
I have mixed feelings about it - can see his point because he's doing better as a solo than the others and might not want to rewaken (is that a word?) his old f*rt identity. OTOH, the group has a whole world of fans to whom they owe their mega-success. It seems a bit rude not to give them one more chance to hear/see the original members. Here's a video Plant made when promoting "Raising Sand" with Alison Krauss.

The Jam's not bad at all, AH. That coming from me is a major compliment because most everything I like in pop, rock and r&b is at least 10 years old. I know - I know, but comparatively, the older stuff is better. jmo of course. Up thread, I posted Hall and Oates live at the apollo doing "Everytime You Go Away", which Daryl wrote and which was one of their lesser lights on the 1980 Voices album. In '86 (I think), Paul Young released it as a pop single and had his biggest hit. Personally, I like the H&O 'soul' version best, but the other is good, too. Here is Paul Young, George Michael and several other big names of the era (I see Elton John and Clapton for starters), with "Everytime You Go Away". This was either Live Aid or the Prince's Trust concert. I think Daryl Hall and George Michael had two of the best voices ever for rock music.

LOL! Thank you, AH! I like it. Mine's better, but, gotta say, this is cool. The only minus, it always concerns me to see elec. guitars in the rain. : )

how do you post these videos? Here ya go, chef. Very first - Go to youtube, find your video and copy the URL. then 1. Don't use Quick Reply, hit the reply button at the bottom of the last post. 2. If you want a message, type it in, now. 3. Look for the row of buttons that we use to make the text bold or underlined, etc. 4. Find the first button in the second row - that's the one to use for youtube 5. Click it. 6. Paste your youtube link in the center between the 2 brackets. 7. Move your cursor to the end of the string without disturbing anything. 8. Hit return. 9. Go to Preview and see if your video is in place. 10. Post your message.

Beth may have unleashed a monster when she gave me directions......be prepared for alot of sixties and seventies videos....... LOL I'm looking forward to watching your favorite videos, chef. Do me a favor and tell me what I'm about to see, though. If it's a group or singer or song I don't recognize, I have to go all the way to youtube to get the information unless it's in front of my face. and I thank you very much p.s. I loved The Who in their day, but it makes me kind of sad that Pete and Roger are still out there on a kind of neverending oldies tour.

Is this thread for Muzak (as advertised) or cool stuff because some entries, such as 'these boots', are heaven and some are go-go going to upset my delicate constitution with their cruelty to ears.
