How grateful you must be to live in a country that never accepted immigrants!
Did you do the map yourself or did mummy help you? It is very clever.

Alan - I wish I was clever enough to draw that map. Whomever did it a great sense of humor. I thought the cutest touch was relocation of the British Isles to the Mediterranean Sea :-)

See, that's so funny, because the joke is that the UK no longer exists and has been taken over by Pakistan.
That's funny because it's so likely.
Oh well, if it did happen I expect we'd just take back the USA and all move there. Put the local uncivilised tribal people into reservations or something.

Right on BushAdmirer! Although i like some Turks here in Germany the nicest Turks you can meet are in Turkey! The Turkish Turks are often apalled at what happens to their countrymen after they've live in Germany.
BTW i think Sheriff Joe in Arizona is probably fighting a losing battle! To say that the US Mexican War, which started in the early 1800s is continuing and now the Mexicans are winning is a common viewpoint!

It is very clever. to live in a country that never acepted migrants...mmm has there ever been such a country however there are migrants and there are migrants....some are beneficial others are about as beneficial as the plague i also notice those who are in favour of immigration at any price are usually the ones who berate the americans and australians about the amerind and the aboriginel...which of course is total hypocracy..for if immigration is such a blessing then the amerind and the aboriginel sould have been down on their knees thanking the settlers for entering their countries.... although immigration and diversity are praised to the max as being of such benefit in the uk and europe in general no one has yet managed to explain what these wonderful benefits are to the peoples in general...or on a personal level i doubt the uk will be ""north pakistan"" as a north pakistan already exists...and the uk is earmarked as the seat of the european caliphate...will it come to pass...more than likely..will it be peaceful deffinitly not the name i project will be the islamic empire of europe oh happy day..many a true word spoken in jest

The Obama Democrats are beholding to Latino voters. That's why they won't step forward and do the right thing by supporting the Arizona government and Sheriff Joe.

The Obama Democrats are beholding to Latino voters. That's why they won't step forward and do the right thing by supporting the Arizona government and Sheriff Joe. When people want to make the point that Sheriff Joe is such a great guy (personally I think he's a fool, but hey, everyone is free to have an opinion) they talk about how crime in Arizona is going down. When people want to make the point that they need tougher laws on illegal immigrants in Arizona they talk about how crime in Arizona is going up. And, of course, those on the other side of the debate do vice versa. The only conclusion I can draw is that Arizona is a rural, uncivilised shithole of some kind anyway, and I'm unlikely to ever be there, for which I'm grateful. Would I rather live in Pakistan or Arizona? That's a tough one. I'd need to think about it a bit more.

Well Riotgrrl, Pakistan is coming to you so to speak. You can stay in Europe and watch the voter mix changing right before your eyes.
Arizona is actually one of the nicest states in my opinion. Phoenix and Tuscon are vibrant cities with a lot going on. There is some amazing scenery not the least of which is the Grand Canyon. There are some really nice smaller communities as well including Sedona and Prescott (which is in the mountains). Arizona is lightly populated along the Mexican border making it relatively easy for illegals to cross.
Sheriff Joe is somewhat of a folk hero because he actually gets something accomplished. He's not balled up in procedure and protocol like most government bureaucrats.

Hate to rain on your parade, Bushman, but your Hispanic population is poised to become the majority in the good old US of A; if they are not already. Many of your major cities, including Washington, already have majority black populations. What exactly is your point???

You expect him to have a point? I have worked in Pakistan and India for many months with no problems but then I live in the real world.

So are you assuming the high majority of people in the "red states" are racist and right? Some of those red states should be colored a muted purple because "red" does not tell the true story - by far. Even people who voted Republican in '08 have ethical limits. Don't expect them to usher in a Tea Party government any time soon.

I went through a liberal phase in my teenage years and would have certainly given our beloved Das/BA a hard time, if i still thought that way!
I have become very disillusioned with the "melting pot" concept of just mixing ethnically diverse people up together and turning them into intergrated, apathetic consumers instead letting them develope the beauty and positive side of their unique cultures. I suppose that makes me a bigot, but i do tend to prefer the ethnic mosaic over a melting pot.

Well, my son is a Eurasian and therefore a mix of two ethnically diverse people and he just graduated from U.C.S.D. with a degree in Aerospace engineering so it can't be all bad. However, it is my opinion that forcing blacks and whites together will only create chaos; particularly in the classroom.

My point was that mixing ethically diverse people together does not always turn them into “apathetic consumers”.
