ah..i see see and agree with you it doesnt turn them into apathetic consumers......but i also agree with anna,s coments and i also prefer the individuality of ethnic groups and cultures to the so called melting pot..which is a bit of a myth ..like the rainbow nation......

Anne is absolutely right, Americans, British, French, Italians and Belgians are all thoroughbreds. No mixing with foreigners or persons of other races. There has never been coupling between Vikings and Latinos.

There has never been coupling between Vikings and Latinos. there are and have been many couplings in the past and will be in the future..i thought this was a bout ethnic groups and cultures....and the values of different cultures rather than the non culture melting pot

Now that you mention it Mouse, my Franco-British grand-daughter is staying with us. My Franco-Britsih-Vietnamese grand-daughters are in Paris.

My Franco-Britsih-Vietnamese grand-daughters are in Paris. i wonder if our grand daughters know each other.... :)my french grandaughter also lives in paris.....as do our vietnamese friends small world and all that.... but how much more interesting it is to visit vietnam for the full flavour ..same with any where.....if i want the full australia then i visit australia rather than earls court..etc etc
