news.gather.com/viewArticle.action?articleId=281474978701689 QUOTE: Natalee Holloway Jawbone possibly found near Phoenix Hotel on Aruba Beach November 17, 2010 12:31 AM EST Recent reports have speculated that part of the body of murdered high school senior Natalie Holloway has been found in the form of a jawbone. The potential Natalee Holloway bone was discovered near the Phoenix Hotel located on an Aruba Beach. Could this be the evidence needed to finally solve this case, giving Beth Holloway peace of mind? Beth Holloway, whose daughter Natalee disappeared five years ago in Aruba, speaks at the launch of the Natalee Holloway Resource Center (NHRC), a non-profit resource center created to assist the families of missing persons founded by Holloway and the National Museum of Crime & Punishment, in Washington June 8, 2010. Joran Van der Sloot, linked to the mysterious disappearance of Natalee in Aruba, has confessed to the murder of a female student in Peru, police said on Tuesday. Van der Sloot was arrested twice in the Holloway case, which was much publicized in the United States, but he was never charged due to insufficient evidence. REUTERS/Joshua Roberts (UNITED STATES - Tags: CRIME LAW SOCIETY) The disappearance of Natalee Holloway has remained a mystery for many and a nightmare without closure for her friends and family. The latest reports via multiple news sites including CBS News, say that the jawbone was found by tourists in a site which is nearby one of the locations suspect Joran van der Sloot had mentioned in confessions he made for Holloway's murder. Joran later took back his confessions. One of those stories Joran told was that Natalee fell from a balcony to her death by accident, so he disposed of her body in a swamp. Another story was that she somehow accidentally died while they were kissing. While the age of this particular bone has not been disclosed, what is known is that it has intact teeth. Now it will be up to Dutch forensic experts to run tests on the bone to determine if it may in fact be that of Natalee Holloway. It's also unknown at this time just how long the tests will take. Apparently, it will first need to be determined if that jaw bone is in fact a human's. While the mystery of Natalee Holloway may be closer to getting solved, its prime suspect, Joran van der Sloot is in jail right now facing charges for the murder of Stephany Flores in Peru. Most likely Natalee Holloways mother and other close friends and family want to see this particular mystery resolved though, even if they have some peace of mind that the major suspect is behind bars. Thank you for the continual update on this case! I feel so bad for Natalee's family, and do wish they could get some closure, although it's pretty obvious what happened and who was responsible.

www.myfoxorlando.com/dpp/news/international/091411-holloways-father-asks-declare-her-dead-ncx QUOTE: Natalee Holloway’s father asks for her to be declared dead
Published : Wednesday, 14 Sep 2011, 10:04 AM EDT (NewsCore) - The father of missing Alabama woman Natalee Holloway has asked a court to declare her legally dead, TMZ reported Wednesday. Holloway, from Mountain Brook, Ala., was 18 when she went missing six years ago on a high school trip to the Caribbean holiday island of Aruba. Dutchman Joran van der Sloot remains the prime suspect in her disappearance. Dave Holloway filed papers at an Alabama court in June for a "petition for presumption of death for persons missing for more than five years." Despite an "exhaustive investigation," he claims that he is no closer to finding his daughter, adding, "It is my firm, however painful, belief that my daughter Natalee is deceased, and not a runaway." A hearing later this month will decide whether the petition will be granted. Van der Sloot is also accused of robbing and murdering 21-year-old Peruvian Stephany Flores, who was found dead in his Lima hotel room on May 30, 2010 -- the fifth anniversary of Natalee Holloway's disappearance. The 24-year-old was arrested after fleeing over the border to Chile and has been held in Lima's notorious Castro Castro prison ever since. He was arrested twice in connection with Holloway's disappearance and held in custody for three months, but never charged. A grand jury in Alabama indicted van der Sloot last June for wire fraud and extortion after he allegedly asked Holloway's mother for $250,000 to tell her where to find her missing daughter's remains.

The families of missing persons are often tormented by self proclaimed eye witnesses or alleged psychics. These people have a miserable track record in helping families find their lost loved ones and really do more harm than good. In my eyes these people aren't much better than cranks although they may truly believe that they know facts about a missing person case.
CNN is selling this story too, but I don't believe it.
The scumbag was actually tricked into confessing about Natalee's fate before his 2nd murder and it was recorded on the video above. It's typical for predators to reenact the crime and describe the part of themself that carries out the truly criminal part which was throwing Natalee alive or dead into the sea as someone else. IMO Natalee will never be found in this world.

I don't believe his 'confession'. I think it was just a way for him to put the idea out there that he didn't kill her, that she died from some other means.
