of course, my jeans are not "working" jeans. i don't do any work in them. they are for getting dressed up Agreed. Lots of different kinds of jeans. My older daughter has a responsible job that requires her to dress nicely - sometimes take clients out to nice restaurants (she's a human resources recruiter for medical personnel). She often wears slim legged (dressy) jeans - sometimes with a blazer, dressy blouse and heels, sometimes with a sweater and boots. They always look nice and appropriate. My husband also wears jeans to work, but not "work" jeans. lol I'll bet you would if you had a very well paying job that required you to dress a particular way. OTOH, I don't have a problem with any kind of clothing as long as it's comfortable, clean and unattractive body parts are not hanging out. I do think it's silly to wear the t-shirts to get attention. If there was a good reason (they were a gift or all you had to wear), OK, but just to get attention is . . . well . . . silly, imo.

if theres a term that really offends me its human resources...humans are not a resource for firms to make money out of...nor should workers be looked on a as a proffitable resource and to consider them so demeans us all [in my opinion of course]

They wore black to court, but instead of suits, often came (to the magistrates court) in frayed cardigans and faded skirts. I suspected that this wasn't so much poverty as the making of a statement.

I like "personnel recruiter", but that's her job title - and it conveys the duties of the job as well as anything else. Not PC - that's for sure. It just sounds rude. Believe me, the personnel who are recruited for those nice medical jobs don't care what you call it as long as they get the job.
