i will once again dispute with you jumbo...mohammed was not what we today acept as a pedophile...it was one child..underage i grant you but to throw that word around some what defeats your argument and brings it down to the base level..there are far more arguments and better arguments to use against mohamed than ayisha...[even though his followers have constantly used the example as a green light for sex with underage girls.] yes he hallucinated or had as he called them visions and yes he had horrendous headaches and in all probability had some sort of brain disorder epilepsy seems to be the most commonly acepted..but it could have been a tumour or an ear infection gone wrong...we dont know we can only surmise but stick to what we can blame him for- for plagerism....for..murder..rape..theft..enslavement and the founding of a cult which has made the lives of millions a living hell especially women mohamed was a man of his time..nothing more than a war lord who found a way to have control....make money and we live with the results some 1400 yrs late your conclusion is a thousand percent accurate. however, the fact is that, at no time in the history of mankind, has the norm been to screw nine year olds. there were more than a few 13 year olds who married and had kids. nonetheless, there is NO similarity whatsoever between a 13 year old and a nine year old. even by the warped norms of the day, he was a molester. ANY culture which accepts pedophillia, murder, slavery, etc, as you said, is not a culture that any intelligent and rational person would have anything to do with, and no normal person would assist in anyway, allowing it to infect his home

...However, some employers apparently require their female office/professional staff to wear them...banning them would prevent that sort of culture from taking a hold. That example illustrates very neatly that this probelm is not easily resolved. Where the prevailing culture in the workplace is for high heels and makeup to be worn, especially where compliance is required, this will (presumably) be joyfully embraced by some women, but others will feel it an unbearable infringement of their freedom to dress as they choose. The consequences if they fail to comply will not be as horrendous as those cited by mouse for women who do not veil in a culture where that's expected or enjoined. But they could lose their jobs, which is quite serious. Any attempt to legislate against forced compliance is necessarily a blunt instrument, since we cannot know exactly when compliance is forced - and if what we call freedom is seen by the minority as imposed by the dominant culture, the effect will not be what was intended. max nix. if it is necessary to impose freedom, it is necessary. the perfect example of just how degenerate the burka culture is was clearly illustrated throughout europe when the hilarious cartoons were published. you had thousands of the nutjob garbage out burning buildings and cars, and advocating murder. there is a myriad of other examples, but that one, in and of itself, more than proves the point

this is a prime example of cultural differences which emanate from religion """ """""A statement on the FCO website reads: "Britons can find themselves facing charges relating to cultural differences, such as using bad language, rude gestures or public displays of affection." In 2008, two Britons accused of having sex on the beach got three months in jail, though their sentences were later suspended.""" and my contention is when in rome...i have no sympathy for these two or the two previous people as they knew exactly what country they were in and what the norms are .... when you a guest you have the manners to apply the hosts expectations..even more so if you have freely chosen to live in another country .......BUT i expect our cultural norms to be obeyed when in our country...it is a reasonable expectation.. it isnt harsh it is REASONABLE to expect those who live here to obey the law and the unspoken norms of society..from face coverings to passing driving tests..education for girls to car insurance..votes for women..equality of oportunity..to not insisting that votes are cast a certain way...from not paying back handers as a norm to boys having and taking note of female teachers and police women,,from honour killings to the selling of children ...blood money to forced marriage etc etc etc that's precisely the point, and the ONLY thing that matters. even though they are idiots, what they choose to do in their own country is their business. if you choose to go to their country, you are obligated to follow suit. you do not have a right to flaunt their customs, regardless of how ignorant they are. the same obviously holds with them. if they choose to go to a civilized country, they have NO right to bring their ignorance with them
