I'm inviting nominations for our 'Member of the Year.' The winner will get the title plus 25 karma points.

I know it's hard but it's a nice and fun way to show our appreciation of our good members here!

I know it's hard and I don't want to be the first to go.

Yours was another I considered, Skylark. So were Beth, Alpha Hooligan and Jumbo.

And there were other names that also came to mind as deserving nominees.

Hm, this is a bit harder than the usual...most people have a shout at the MoM title, but a member of the year is a lot harder to choose.

I will try and think of somebody before Friday.

Hm. Mike's already nominated Anna so I'll put forward Beth's name so we can have a contest.

I love Anna dearly and if Mike hadn't already nominated her then I would have done.

Oh darn! As soon as I saw the thread name I rushed right here to nominate Anna. I think she's the obvious choice, though there are several other members who contribute a lot, too.

If Anna was out of the running I would nominate Random Voice, for his sheer perseverance in finding and presenting arguments to counter global warming scepticism.

What I meant was that IF Anna was out of the running I'd nominate Random Voice - but my vote will go to Anna so there is no point.
