news.ninemsn.com.au/national/870960/norman-evert-announce-seperationNorman, Evert announce separation07:18 Sat Oct 3 2009 Just 15 months after they were married, golf star Greg Norman and tennis great Chris Evert have announced they have separated. The announcement on Friday comes three days before Norman is to captain the international team at the Presidents Cup in San Francisco, where wives of the captains take on a visible role. Norman and Evert, each in the Hall of Fame in their respective sports, did not say whether they planned to divorce. In a statement, the couple said only: "We will remain friends and supportive of one another's family." The statement said they requested privacy for them and their families. Norman divorced first wife Laura Andrassy in 2006. He and Evert married in a lavish $2 million ceremony in June 2008, on an island the couple rented in the Bahamas. Ms Andrassy received a reported $162 million) of Norman's estimated $487 million fortune. The new couple and Norman's wife of 26 years became involved in a bitter public slanging match following the golfing legend's second wedding. Well, that lasted a long time. I'd like to be a fly on the wall where the first wife lives.

She's not letting me down.news.ninemsn.com.au/entertainmentNorman's 'lust wedding' doomed: ex-wife11:30 Sun Oct 4 2009 Oct 04, 2009 Golf star Greg Norman's marriage to tennis champion Chris Evert was doomed from the start because they wedded in the "throes of lust", according to his ex-wife. Laura Andrassy, who split from the golf legend after a 26-year marriage in a bitter divorce, said Norman and Evert were too similar to last long as a couple. The pair, who announced their separation yesterday after just 15 months of marriage, were too narcissistic for each other as evidenced by their $2 million Bahamas wedding, Andrassy said. Friends have claimed a clash of egos between the two sporting legends led to the break-up, which was announced by a Los Angeles-based spokesman. "They say opposites attract. Here were two people very much alike — high profile and narcissistic people — and that would make a relationship difficult," Andrassy told the Daily Telegraph. "Both he and Chris are adults and they were supposed to know what they were doing, but they were in the throes of lust and weren't thinking (when they got married)." Andrassy received $103 million from her divorce from Norman and said family and friends knew the marriage between Norman and Evert would not last. Norman left Andrassy for Evert, a winner of 18 grand slam singles titles, who had previously been married to British tennis star John Lloyd and Olympic skier Andy Mill. Norman and Evert have not said whether they intend to divorce. Who gets custody of the sports centres -golf and tennis - they were setting up around the world?

They keep stressing that Norman left his wife for Evert, but I'm almost sure I read a People mag. article that detailed the turmoil it caused for her husband and children - IOW, she did the same thing. Those goofy narcissists. What do we expect.

The headline here was Double Bogey.
Evert's previous husband and Norman were good! friends. Mills said he would have taken a bullet for the guy, he just didn't realise Norman was gonna fire the gun.
