Phoenix Woman Accused of Torturing, Killing Man in Wheelchair Says She Enjoyed It Friday, August 21, 2009 A Phoenix woman accused of torturing, killing and dismembering a man in a wheelchair confessed to the crime and said she enjoyed committing it. Angela Simpson, 33, told FOX affiliate KSAZ from prison that she murdered Terry Neely because he was a snitch. Simpson said in a calm voice that she lured 46-year-old Neely to her apartment with a promise of sex and drugs. Once he arrived, Simpson said, she beat Neely with a tire iron, pulled out his teeth and strangled him with a television cable during three days of torture. Simpson said she dismembered Neely's body and set it on fire. Neely's remains were found burning in a trash container outside a church Aug. 5. Autopsy results show a 3-inch nail had been driven into his head. Simpson said she has no remorse for her actions and actually enjoyed killing Neely. www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,5...latestnews You can see her very scary, very bizarre interview here: www.myfoxphoenix.com/dpp/video/ange...ntv_082009

An evil sadist and no doubt as to guilt. I wish there was a fast track disposal system for such predators!

Since there's no doubt about her guilt, let's send her straight to waste disposal NOW!

Dont forget Lin, some of us oppose the death penalty not because we think no one deserves it. She definetly does. But there is no way to accuratly and fairly be able to apply the death penalty across the board the same way. Look at the Gail Owens/Mary Winkle case we are discussing. It just isnt right to kill people not for her or me or any government agency.

I'm sorry for that. I will go more often in the New Year and post a bit at times as well. I'm married to an anti whose main objection to the death penalty is on moral grounds. Kelly, you know me well enough to realise that I'm NOT one of those gung-ho pros who just wants to execute everyone. I fight for prisoner's rights, for prison reform and alternatives to prison. I'm also convinced that Virginia Lazarlere is innocent. On Gail Owens, I don't know much about the case but I do know that I found Mary Winkler totally unbelievable. I also know that both men and women ARE victims of domestic violence and can snap and commit murder in that situation. I think in the light of your comments perhaps Gail should get her sentence commuted. I may be a pro but I'm NOT an uncaring, prisoner-hating one. As a former juvenile delinquent myself, and as someone who saw the effects of prisoner abuse on two friends of mine, how could I be like that? Thank you for your wonderful contributions. I am now a follower on your blog, by the way!

Lil Red Writing: At the risk of diverting this thread, I'd like to ask a question about your website. Why the focus on women on death row, rather than all prisoners?

Lil Red Writing: At the risk of diverting this thread, I'd like to ask a question about your website. Why the focus on women on death row, rather than all prisoners? If she'll forgive me for answering on her behalf, I am a member of her board and I don't know any other one that simply deals with women on death row. There are boards on death row; boards for and against capital punishment; boards about prison in general; boards about specific prisoners. Lilredwriting's board is (as far as I know) the only one dealing just with women who have been sentenced to death.

Lots I want to say here, please bear with me... Lin, I absolutely know that you are a caring and educated Pro. No qualms here. Also, I appreciate all that you have done for me on my forums. They are seriously dead. ALways have been. In not sure why but some people are just afraid to speak on the topic I think or think it is all anti's. Not the case. Skylark, Why? Hmm... I dont know. lol. It started years ago. I knew Aileen Wournous and while she was indeed a monster in many ways I loved her dearly for the parts of her I knew. I wondered if the other women on the row were that way and so it began. I have met some that were just total conniving bitches and some I swear are innocent. I wish really I could do a better job at getting the word out about what I do and have seen but I fail miserably.

And what are you wanting to get the word out about?

I write to and support many, many of the women on the row. I publish their newsletter and help them get their words outy to the public. I have visited many of them and so many of them have told me their stories when they will tell know one else. But, maybe people are just not interested in hearing what they have to say.

The murderer of Mr. Neely makes no attempt to deny her involvement or show remorse. In an interview she says she expects to get the death penalty.

Lilredwriting: I admire what you do. But when a prisoner says she is telling you a story they have told no-one else...do you believe her? I'm afraid I wouldn't. It is possible that they are flattering you, or they are telling you a tale that others know is a distorted version of the truth. I speak as someone who has done some voluntary work with ex-offenders, and some of them sat me down to tell a tale they "hadn't told anyone else". Suffice to say that I am now a sad old cynic!

Thanks for answering my questions. I can only imagine the talk you've gotten from the people I call the "kill them all"'s. "Kill them all" is a term I made up on my own after getting online in 2002 and getting involved in the support/activism, etc. for the survivors of murder victims (MVS which stands for murder victim survivor). I'm an MVS. Actually, I'd be interested in what you have to say along with these women. As far as spreading the word, have you checked out the Crime Debate forum? There's also the Death Penalty 101 forum. I plan to check out your links as I have time and thanks again for answering me.
