Stuart Ludlam (inset) was discovered in the back of his Ford Focus cab The body of Stuart Ludlam was found in the boot of his silver Ford Focus estate taxi at Cromford railway station, near Matlock, last Thursday. Earlier detectives announced a third arrest in the case - a 34-year-old man is being questioned by officers. A 48-year-old man arrested in Derby on suspicion of murder last Friday was bailed pending further inquiries. A 32-year-old man also arrested on suspicion of murder was later released without charge. Police said they were investigating rumours that Mr Ludlam's death could be connected to an argument between cabbies. Officers want to speak to anyone who saw a yellow taxi after members of the public reported seeing a yellow hackney-style cab in Cromford on the day of Mr Ludlam's death. Chief Superintendent Peter Lewis, in charge of policing in the Derbyshire Dales and High Peak, said: "Taxi operators in Derby and in the Derbyshire Dales have been speaking to officers and have been very helpful. "We would like to appeal to the driver of that yellow taxi to get in touch with us and share any information they may have. Mr Ludlam, 43, from Darley Dale, Derbyshire, was married with three children aged two, 12 and 15. He worked for Middleton-by-Wirksworth-based MJ Taxis. He was last seen by his colleagues at his company's office an hour before he was found at 12.40pm last Thursday.
