Mine changes - but at the moment they are,
Graeter's Blueberry Pie, Edy's Peach Pie and Mayfield Black Walnut. Honorable mention - Home Made (udf) Vanilla Bean The "pie" ice creams are a natural for me because they contain vanilla ice cream, bits of fruit and - the big draw - small pieces of pie cruse. mmmmmmmm
What's your favorite?

I love Cold Stone cake batter once in awhile a good pecan praline would hit the spot but no more ice cream as the diet and pre diabetes doesn't allow for all that sugar.

Maple walnut and pistachio are also good.

Choc chip. Oh yeah. With almond flakes on top. I know what you're thinking but I like it.

I ate a pistachio ice cream in Spain once that has yet to be beaten. The worst ice cream I ever ate was avocado and brown bread -- I know! it doesn't even sound as if it should be ice cream, I don't know what the maker was thinking. There's a local shop here that is known nationwide for its whipped ice cream but it's not that special any more since new people took over - still, I buy it in the summer for the ambience of a sunny day and the shop survives on its ice cream sales alone and hardly stocks anything else. If I am going to treat myself to something, it's Ben and Jerry's. But at the moment I am going through a purity stage and any longings I get are for a scoop of plain ordinary cheap ice cream -vanilla.

I refuse to patronize Ben & Jerry's because I abhor their politics. It's hard to find really good ice cream this side of Italy. However, Baskin Robbins Jamocha Almond Fudge is a decent quality product. For best results make your own following a good Italian Gelato recipe. Here is one good example: www.italylogue.com/food-drink/chocolate-gelato-recipe.html

Its home is Cincinnati, but most of the Kroger stores in Houston carry it in limited quantity. Their blueberry pie flavor and all the "chip" flavors are good. Beyond the nice selection of flavors, they use the french pot process for a truly elegant product. www.graeters.com/process.aspx

I don't remember seeing that at Krogers Beth but will make a point to look for it. Thanks for the tip.

Here's a link to the "find us" page. Scroll down, click on Houston and I'm sure it will help with locations. Should be with the better brand pints. The half-gallons are abt. $15.00 and I think they are only sold hand-dipped at the Graeter's store locations. Hope you find it. Bet you'll like it. www.graeters.com/locations.aspx
