Why do women get their nails done? Has a man ever noticed a woman’s nails? I don’t think so.

Why do some women wear dangling ear rings. Do ear rings make a woman look better? I don’t think so.

Why do some women get tattoos. Was there ever a man who thought a tattoo made a woman more attractive? Answer: Yes, that man was a tattoo artist.

Why do some fat women buy expensive clothes, get their hair done, wear makeup, have their nails done, and load up with jewelry? Do they think this makes them more attractive to men? Fat is not attractive and it can’t be hidden or covered up. What men like is a good figure. Want to impress men? Get your figure in shape.

Is a shaved beaver attractive to men? No! Beavers should have hair and look natural.

I was once at a luncheon with about 8 or 10 couples seated around a large table. I asked the women to put their hands under the table. Then I asked their husbands whether their wives were wearing any rings or bracelets and what they looked like. The men whose wives wore wedding rings were able to get that right. They failed miserably on every other piece of jewelry. Conclusion: Men don’t notice or put any value on jewelry as a decoration for women. None, nada, zip. Women like jewelry but most men are oblivious and don't even notice jewelry.

So the obvious conclusion here is that women do this stuff in order to impress other women. They certainly don’t do it to impress men, or if they do, they’re getting it wrong.

I do agree with you on some of the points. What did they used to say about Marylin Monroe? That she was so naturally beautiful that even if she wore a sack she would look still stunning.

But not everyone is born with natural beauty. And if it makes a larger women feel better about herself by adorning herself, then all power to her I would say. It may not seem pretty to you or even I, but that is not really the point. If it makes her feel better about herself, then it's really none of my business. Live and let live.

I do appreciate your honesty though. I know many men do look at women in that way but would never voice it out.

There is an awful lot of pressure put on woman to look a certain way. And that saddens me. It's almost like our very worth is wrapped up in how we look. And lo and behold we should ever get old!

So as we are being so honest - let me add this: Most women don't find older men attractive, by older I mean over 40 or so. Men who are overweight are a big 'no'. Men who lack basic hygiene can stay away. Men who live in sweat pants are a bit turn off. Men who are unkind, racist, bigots, who don't like animals or kids are not worth our time.

Men who act too Macho or the opposite are too Femine in their ways are a turn off as well. Overly huge muscles are yucky and too skinny is equally as yucky. A handsome face is important, he should be fit and healthy and have nice teeth.  He shouldn't be too clingy and should know when to stay and when to leave. And so forth...

It feel bad to objectify men in this way.  And I feel that I should really be saying sorry  to someone or other right now.   (But I won't).

People make the best of what they have got, fat and well dressed is better than fat and scruffy.


Women tend to go for wealthy men, if they are good looking that is a bonus but a very wealthy man will not have much trouble finding a partner same as a very good looking woman won't.

In general women bear children and men provide for them, however the state has taken over that role somewhat now.

--> We may be on the top rung of the animal kingdom but we're still animals. All animals are motivated to take the action that causes reproduction of the species. Whether you're talking about penguins, elephants, deer, or humans the males are often seen trying to mate with females. The most attractive females are the ones with the most sex appeal which triggers the urge. You can't fight Mother Nature and expect to win.

Harvey Weinstein is an older overweight man that I don't think would arouse many women with his looks. However, Harvey was in a position to get you a screen test and a possible start in the movies. All you had to do was give him a little love. I have to wonder what his batting average was? Did he get his way with a very significant percentage of the pretty young women that he wanted to molest?

Agree. Butch lesbian women who try to look like men aren't attractive to men. The few women who lift weights and develop bulging muscles are very unnattractive. Agree too on healthy looks and good teeth. I find women who are too clingy (eg: always wanting to hold hands, buying his and her matching T-shirts, etc.) would drive me away.

A woman has a uterus. There are men born with female hearts, but a woman has a uterus.
And a gender schematic brain. She is self-interested. (What can I GET?). While men seek to give.

This is a good question, Mr Right, as I am very interested in the subject; and am currently writing about it.
