Today was the 75th anniversary of VE Day (Victory in Europe) Day.
My grandfathers on both sides fought in World War II. So did Mike's uncle (his father was only 13 when the war ended.)
On the news it asked for people to come out at 9.00 p.m. this evening and clap our heroes and wave our flags.
We were happy to do so and to honour the brave folk who fought and often died to save us from the Nazis.
We went outside with our flags and clapped.
We were the only ones in our street who did.
In the distance a few streets away we heard a few people clapping and a few fireworks being sent up.
But in our street - utter zilch.
Yet these woke morons are happy to clap the NHS workers on Thursdays at 8.00 p.m.
The NHS workers are the same people who are largely to BLAME for our high death rate.
The same people who REFUSE to send ambulances to care homes to admit seriously ill patients to hospitals.
The same people who tell callers to 111 to self-isolate so they die at home instead of being taken to hospital.
Heroes? What a joke!

Once you have the government managing something you are bound to have an ever expanding bureaucracy, with salaries and advancement based on something other than meritorious performance. The inevitable result is bloated payrolls, higher and higher taxes, and poor services. In the UK immigrants have flooded in. They pay about 500 pounds per year to get on government health care. That's not enough money to cover the cost of having your tonsils removed, much less any serious condition. Just a case of foreigners invading and jumping onto the backs of taxpayers.
