I have just heard that meditation is being taught to children in school, in order to improve their current behaviour, which seems to be out of control. It is about time that something was done, as children are behaving any way they like, with no consequences delivered in the way of discipline.

? Where did you hear that ? There is a link on another forum that proves that meditation works. The fact that it is now being introduced to the school curriculum was on the news recently. A teacher who is already putting it into practice was speaking about it.

Scottish Lassie, you are fond of using the word 'proof' so perhaps you would care to explain what you mean by it.
How do you define proof?
What do you mean by proof?
What would you accept as proof if it were offered?
What do you believe is the difference between 'proof' and 'probability?'

Proof is when you are as sure as you can be that the information that you have been given is true.(trust) The difference between proof and probability is when any given situation could be possible, but you are not totally sure. I know that there are other dimensions besides this material one as I have been there. Proof is an individual aspect of life to each person, in other words, it is what we each believe to be true.

We each have to put our trust in what our senses tell us. A person's eyes are geared to let us see certain scenes and some have the ability to see more than what is physically seen. In other words, they see into another dimension.
These people can also hear voices that have not been uttered by anyone with a physical body and certain thoughts appear in their head that they didn't have a clue about a moment before.
What can you do but put your trust in what is happening, especially if it happens to come true. This is how trust is formed in your mind so that you believe whole heartedly. To me that is proof. This is a state of affairs that nobody else can refute.

I have no reason to think that they are deliberately lying.

I am not even discussing deliberate fraud; everyone who has ever been involved in a traffic accident knows that every witness will give a different version of events.

I have been led to believe that what you say is true regarding a traffic accident. If I was seeking the truth of something that was very important to me then I guess I would keep seeking for the answer elsewhere. It all boils down to whom you trust and that does take a little while. We pay the price at all times as we react to what goes on in our lives. There is a reason why there is such a thing as life and that is what I personally am searching for. There is definitely so much to find out and in doing so, we help keep the grey matter in good working order, don't you think?
