What do members know of these points of energy that lie a long side the spine from the genitals upward to the crown chakra the highest point in the head?

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ChakraThe concept is found in the early traditions of Hinduism.[6] Theories differ between the Indian religions, with many Buddhist texts consistently mentioning five Chakras, while Hindu sources offer six or even seven.[3][4] They are believed to be embedded within the actual physical body, whilst originating within the context of mental and spiritual fields. Or, in modern interpretations, complexes of electromagnetic variety, the precise degree and variety of which directly arise from a synthetic average of all positive and negative so-called "fields", this eventuating the complex Nadi.[7][4] Within kundalini yoga, the techniques of breath exercises, visualizations, mudras, bandhas, kriyas, and mantras are focused on transmuting subtle energy through "chakras".[6][8]

Of course one obvious criticism of the theory (let aside all the other difficulties with it) is that the male and female bodies contains seven 'openings' but frequently the eyes are dragged in as well.
The ideas of the 'crown' and 'kundalini' chakras are particularly nebulous.
And I say this as someone who has experimented (with my wife) in Kundalini Yoga and Tantric sex!

I loved my husband, but I have never been that into sex. I'm happy with hugs. Maybe it's the fact that I was molested a lot when a teenager, it kind of put me off. My real pleasure was looking after my children. I dabbled in all that kind of thing to do with yoga etc and meditation. Believe it or not but I was very shy as a teen and was so quiet, some people thought I was a mute. I learned a thing or two after getting married at the age of 25 and a bit. Now I'm just waiting for the grim reaper to come calling. LOL Thanks for the info on kundalini yoga. Tantric sex I have never tried, I'm happy with the missionary position. Why do you say that the crown chakra is rather obscure? to me that is when we enter the spiritual realm so to speak. The other chakras are more physical in nature, IMO. The body is certainly an amazing contraption if I may use that word.

Visualization is more my style, as it can take you anywhere you want. I don't indulge in it deliberately, I wait for something to happen by focusing on the 'third eye', I am shown lots of things by that method. When I meditate, I focus on the 'third eye' and intone in a long drawn out sound the sacred word HU (hue) and I can find myself anywhere.
