I have several passions in life and not all of them involve naked women.
I'm an admirer of French Crystal, especially Lalique and Daum with a nod to St Louis and Baccarat. So we've booked a trip this May to the Alsace and Lorraine regions of eastern France. That is where the French glass masters do their magic. The big four all have their factories and museums in the area around Strasbourg and Nancy.
That part of France is also a gourmet paradise with many Michelin starred restaurants.
As a windup to our trip we're going to spend a couple days near Verdun. Though I consider myself a history buff. I'm not nearly as knowledgeable and well read about the Great War as I am about WWII, the Napoleonic Wars, etc. This will be a learning opportunity. Verdun was at the heart of that war.

You do seem to travel a lot, so must have the cash to get you to these places. I do like the posts that you give out that are very funny. Keep up the good work.

We've been able to do a Europe trip about once a year. We rent apartments using services like Homeaway.com rather than staying at hotels. Always rent a car. Stay in one place for a week at a time and do day trips. Having an apartment limits our restaurant meals to one per day (usually lunch). Cities like Paris and London are very expensive as compared to places in the countryside. I have a home based retirement business that generates enough travel points to cover air fare.

You are certainly making the most of life. You have life all worked out, which is most commendable. Thumbs up.!!!
