Was just watching a documentary about the possibility that a member of the British Royal family was the killer owing to the fact that he contracted syphilis from a prostitute and it affected his brain. There was no cure in these days, what do members think?

There was no cure in these days, what do members think? it's possible, I have read a lot about the case and walked the " Ripper Tour" in Whitechapel , parts of London are the same now as they were then , including the church in that facinity and the back alley ways, its quite sobering to go around and hear the facts of the case, my view is that Jack was a psychopathic serial killer , who lived locally ,he wasnt necessarily any one important, in fact he felt very unimportant , he very much wanted to control and exert his power over women. I'd like to think if this happened now we could apprehend him using forensic science.

I saw a movie and a documentary, both were horrifying. It must have been very scary to have lived around that area then. You wouldn't have even had the courage to answer the door.

It was brilliant, a group of us went around with a very animated tour guide, there wasn't that much atmosphere though as it was in the summer and at 7.15 pm it was still light

I wouldn't have wanted to have experienced any of the terror that the victims must have suffered.

That must have been a VERY creepy feeling for you! yes it was very creepy, we were in a group and when he said that everyone backed away from me ! you still get a sense of what it must have been like in those days as the streets there are still very narrow,

No and at one point the guy said I was standing on the actual spot where a victim was found ! If I had been told that, I would have reacted by stepping off the spot as! quickly as possible, for fear of picking upthe vibes of the victim and so reliving her terror. Psychics do experience this and it would not have been a very nice experience. I once went to the Doctor whom I hadn't met before and the minute I saw him the hair on my neck stood up and a shiver went down the length of my body. Lucky for me I wasn't shown any more. I must have had a run in with this man which must have ended quite badly for me, maybe death?
