When I was a kid color TV was only a dream. There was no internet. Airplanes had propellers rather than jet engines. Cars were popular but not nearly as reliable as they are now. Computers were only in a laboratory. There was no Internet. no iPhones or iPads, Microwave ovens didn't exist. Dishwashers had long hair and wore a skirt. I'm sure you can think of many more examples.
Aside from the items that we touch daily, technology has changed the behind the scenes infrastructure too. One great example is how Amazon has revolutionized retailing. Watch this video to find out how they do it. Just completely amazing.

Yes, it's amazing how much the world has changed even in my lifetime (I'm 37 years old.)
On the whole I think it's been for the better.

Yes, it's amazing how much the world has changed even in my lifetime (I'm 37 years old.) On the whole I think it's been for the better. I believe that too. I remember my poor Mother having to wash the clothes rubbing them on a ribbed metal washboard then rinsing them and later putting them through a large metal mangle which had a handle that you had to wind which was a strenuous feat in itself. Now we have washing machines that all you have to do is put the clothes and washing powder in then press a button and everything is done automatically. All that needs to be done then is to hang them on the clothesline, how easy is that?

Definitely on the whole changes have been for the better but I wonder how long that will be true? You see driveless cars now, drones that deliver things for us and the worst of all our new 'robot's' like Alexis that will turn on the TV, radio or whatever for you. It's almost to the point where a person doesn't have to move. Alexis will order it for you, a drone will deliver it.. I've even heard where they are testing microwaves that Alexis can turn on for you. I fear we are headed towards one of those sci fi movies where humans are big blobs that can't move and depend on robots for everything.
