That's strange, I thought labor was spelt labour in England and Australia. Here in Australian politics, it is the Labor Party. Ordinary manual labour is as I have said. I guess you Googled that link and that is how the word is spelt in America.

I guess you Googled that link and that is how the word is spelt in America. It's spelt labour in British English; Australia I'm not sure - I know the Labor Party over there spells it that way. But google is of course just a search engine and my guess is that the original post was probably from an American site. I once got 'disqualified' from a poetry competition by an American judge for 'incorrect spelling' because I'd spelt 'colour' and 'flavour' the British way! Two nations separated by a common language!

I once got 'disqualified' from a poetry competition by an American judge for 'incorrect spelling' because I'd spelt 'colour' and 'flavour' the British way! Two nations separated by a common language! So it must be spelt that way in America. I once text a message to a newspaper about the Labor Party and I spelt it with a u as that is from where it is derived, those who labour When I read the article after it was printed, it had been corrected. You live and learn, that's for sure.!!!
