Sadly statues like those to Gen. Robert E Lee, may have been erected for other accomplishments and not just for the civil war.
I saw an article earlier where now they are going after Stone Mountain. Can Mt Rushmore be far behind?

You do realize that is why they want to replace them on the currency. Face it, these people do not have a single redeeming qusality for which they should be honored.
