Not only Kurdish, but Yazidi women are joining armed militias to fight ISIS. The Turkish government is also very hostile towards these groups, which are an obstacle to a ressurection of a New Ottoman Empire. DAS (formerly BushAdmirer) Big Lin @menantol blc

Well, it's not quite that simple, Anna. I lived and worked in Turkey and even then - I'm going back 16 years - there were terrorist outrages regularly by the PKK (the Kurdish independence lot).
For what it's worth the Yezidis are a different issue; the Kurds want independence and in fact they want to set up a new state which would include chunks of Turkey, Syria, Iraq and Iran.
So they are basically like the IRA or ETA or the Tamil Tigers.
The Yezidis are considered devil-worshippers by both Sunni and Shia Muslims; their name for God is Shaitan (Satan) so it's not without foundation.
And they are also extremely wealthy; the Order of the Peacock Angel is one of the richest secret societies in the world.
But Turkey is going through real problems at the moment with Erdogan thinking he can get away with pretty much everything.
As for ISIS, well I couldn't care less who gets rid of them as long as someone does.
And the quickest way would be to smash their main backers - Saudi Arabia.

Dearest Big Lin , I fear Erdogan is pandering to the One World government agenda in the hope of restoring some aspects of the Ottoman Empire and perhaps in time annex parts of Syria, if these terrorities aren't liberated by the Syrians themselves. Turkey is the main buyer of ISIS oil and finances these evildoers. Since Russia is bombing ISIS oil it's obvious that the present Turkish government will be hostile towards Russia. Turkey is also hostile towards the Kurds that are an obstacle in Erdogan's Turkish nationalism. I see Kurds as a whole in pretty much the same light as the I see the Basques.

It is great that these Kurdish women take up arms and fight. I haven't heard of this happening with other women who aren't Kurds or Yazdis. What I fail to understand is why do the women stay when the men leave. Why don't the women go to, with or without their men? They have two legs and are just as well equipped to flee as the men. Is it because women don't want to leave family? Is it because they have small children making it more difficult and risky to flee?

Apparently the cowardly men have simply abandonned their women DAS (formerly BushAdmirer) . It's dangerous for unaccompanied women to travel in Syria and children are a factor. Trying to defend and take back their nation is what Syrians must do, if they wish to have a government that represents the Syrian people. If US and European troops drive ISIS out the Globalists will install their marionette governments and debt creating central banks in these "liberated" nations like Syria.

Syria is a bit more complicated than that Anna. It isn't a case of taking back a country because Syria is a country that was never really theirs. Some are fighting to get rid of the Assad regime. Some are fighting to install a 7th century caliphate. Some are fighting to establish an independent Kurdistan. Russian are fighting to protect their only warm water naval base at Tartus. Iran is fighting to extend her influence and to help the Shia's against the Sunnis. America is funding and weaponizing those who oppose ISIL and/or Assad. It is complicated by lots of differing goals and conflicting interests In most of the wars throughout history there were just two opposing sides, for example: England vs. France, Napoleon vs. the Coalition, The Allies vs the Axis, etc. In the case of Syria, it is more of a free for all.

This has nothing to do with Mao's Red Book or the protocols of Zion that you and Big Lin keep bringing up. It can't be denied that the US stayed out of colonialism, foreign wars, had little national debt and minded it's own business before the US economy was surrendered to the bankers in 1913.

Interesting video DAS (formerly BushAdmirer) . Yes a lot of US politicans serve anti US interests. Not directly the Islamic Brotherhood, but primarily this high finance elite which gained the upper hand with the Federal Reserve takeover in 1913. Obama is the willing puppet of George Soros and these anti American activities will continue until he and this high fimance cartel are exposed, discredited and their power taken away.

Turkey consider the Kurds terrorist same as ISIS.
It is the old saying, one man terrorist is another man's freedom fighter.
So Turkey want to destroy the Kurdish fighters, the same fighters the US uses to fight ISIS on the ground.
So one huge mess!
