If you think in centuries mikemarshall ( and of course I'm NOT referring to historical liberals like you and Big Lin ) this "modern liberalism" will make Western world countries look pretty much like Brazil in a century or 2, if not stopped.

Not at all Big Lin . The American Revolution is the most misunderstood of all revolutions. The Globalist Plutocrats financed the Russian Revolution, Hitler and now ISIS and other Muslim extremists. They will never finance a movement which in any way is related to the American revolution, which they greatly fear.

BTW the American Revolution was in no way against the British people.

Big Lin, your posting are usually worth the reading even when I don't agree with them. However, with this posting you have joined Lemmings chasing Bumper Sticker wisdom.

I would really be interested in your backing up these assertions, that is:

The American Revolution wasn't a revolution at all.

The American Revolution certainly was against the British people.

The American Revolution certainly was against the native Americans.

The American Revolution certainly was against the slaves.

Other than someone such as a Howard Zinn, a propagandist and self proclaimed historian, you seem to run against the grain of historians and historic fact. So please, I really would like to see your sources justifying these assertions.

Wrong Big Lin . Fascism is based on authoritarianism and a centralisation of government power. The 1st Amendment or Free Speech is one very central tenet of the American revolution and anathema to fascism. The right to bear arms is also anti-fascist since fascist and totalitaritarian governments in general historically want to control all firearms to prevent revolts. I can't imagine a fascist government allowing any significant autonomous local government under it's rule unlike the early American government. The American republic allowed local communities a great amount of freedom and judical power.
The colonialists were of coursed forced to fight against the British soldiers who served under King George III. Actually the main reason for the revolution was the English monarchy's foolish entrustment of their economy to private bankers who issued their paper money and demanded interest ( usury ) on it. The American currency was to be outlawed to the detriment of the colonialists.
