Yeah that song is linked to The Breakfast Club, isn't it?
Here's a group who flamed in the 80's, early 90's then disappeared.
EMI doesn't control all the vids.

The Clash. A terrific group from the 80's. You can't embed their original videos -all owned by some music group. This one they performed on the stage on the river. Anyway, it's audio only but it's all good.

That IS a good one, Gabe. I've never heard it before. This one is a cross-over, but it's been fairly difficult to find a decent clip of this band in their prime so I want to share it here, as well. After the mid '80s, the voice couldn't support the song, but here, it's grand. www.youtube.com/watch#!v=0j82al7MjtQ&feature=related

Thanks beth. You're right. I never considered the voice going but you are on the money. That song was, I won't say atypical for them, but definitely not what you expected from Foreigner. You and I had a discussion last year about the sax player on one of their songs. I think that's right.
Anyway, this is one of their monsters.
Any song that starts with a simple piano part gets my attention.

One of the great 70's bands.

I know I've posted this clip before somewhere but I'm gonna stick with the 10cc theme for the moment. A really good group from the 70's.

This was massive in 75/76. David Essex was the next big thing. Then came The Bay City Rollers. I won't discuss them. But Essex was OK.

That was great beth. Thanks for posting it. He's a great singer, always has been.
He's from England. Came into the group after Glenn Shorrock jumped.
This is G Shorrock and the band. '77. Great song.

This is slightly outside my decade remit but WTH.
I'm a Duran fan. Unabashed. Everything they ever recorded I have and I think it's all great.
This is from '93 but it's up there with my favourite Duran song.
Enjoy.

Oh yeah beth. that song has the greatest lyrics.
She comes strolling through the crowd like Peter Lorre contemplating a crime.
So, why not another poet? I don't think there's anything this guy ever wrote that I don't like. I respect his decision because of his religious beliefs to walk away from the music he created but it's such a pity. He walked away what, 30 years ago?
Anyway, what he left is terrific.

Thanks beth. I have heard that a long time ago. He has a distinctive voice.
The Cat. Well, what can you say? Pure genius. Both lyrics and music. So what will I post from him tonight?
Some dude has started posting these great clips from French TV in the 60's and 70's. I'm liking because I've never seen them.
Now the lady herself. She was, apparently, Steven's muse for this song and Wild World. She was married to Don Johnson (Miami Vice).
It's a great song and this is a great clip I've never seen before.
Enjoy

Thanks beth. I didn't realise that was a Sam Cooke song.
I heard this on the radio this morning. Yes, radio. Live broadcasts seem to be falling by the wayside. Anyway, it's a great song and I haven't heard it for a while.
