These are in pretty good shape to be as old as they are and made with the technology of the time. The audio has probably been edited. 46 years ago geez . . . kids

Jeez, beth, pass my pipe and slippers would ya!
Next to Nutbush, I think this is one of her best. Really nice attack and decay on the guitars.

You're right, of course, but I am in the way-back machine this week for reasons totally devoid of reason.

If you have never come across the Rutles, allow me to introduce you to them. PS The Rutles (also known as the Prefab Four) are a band that are known for their visual and aural pastiches and parodies of The Beatles. Originally created by Eric Idle (Monty Python) and Neil Innes as a fictional band to be featured as part of various 1970s television programming, the group evolved into a real band that recorded and toured, and released two UK chart hits. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Rutles

Yes, I knew about them at the time and didn't give them much credit. Perhaps I underestimated their talent. Seems too bad they couldn't have just moved away from the Beatles connection and sallied forth under their own steam.

I chose Shangrila because it contains so many references to Beatles hits and their style.
It was an exceptionally good take-off

This is a rare live performance, so I want to put it in the Vault before I misplace it. Big Bad Bill From Ry Cooder's 1978 "Jazz" album.
