I live in a small town, by the sea.

The fact that it is by the sea has no bearing on what I do, by the way!

I'm not sure I've got a favourite type of music Mike - sorry.
I like most sorts - baroque, some classical, folk, rock, soul....even some country!

All of them really, some more than others - small children in small doses please! If this is an oblique way of asking about my job, I come into contact with some of them in my work.

Well, I'm getting a bit confused about some of the questions, but if the rule now is that you can't ask a direct question, OK, my mistake.
But if it means you have to find out about things like my music tastes and love of furry animals, this game will be still be running in June.

CLARIFICATION: The players task is to ask questions that will reveal what type of volunteer work Skylark does (bonus point if they manage to figure out also her degree). They may ask 5 questions each (including guesses), so Gibby was actually playing it smart trying to make one question cover a lot of possibilities.

Presumably Gibby could have asked if I worked with animals, small children etc?
Mind you, it wouldn't have got her much further; my answer would still have been "some of the above"!

////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Roll-a-MemberGAME~ "Roll" - to make fun of, sport on, have fun with ~Every Tuesday, a member is picked at random and you will be instructed what to do to them! It's all in fun folks!////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Okay, I went to do this week's Roll-a-Member and found we never finished last week's! THE TASK is to ask questions that will help you guess what Skylark does for volunteer work (and if you also guess her degree you get a point too). You have 5 questions, including guesses, so make them count. If no one gets it, Skylark wins the contest point. WHERE WE LEFT OFF / THE TALLY SO FAR:How many questions already asked: Lin - 1 Mike - 2 Sadie - 1 Gibby - 1 INFO REVEALED:her degree is not in psychology she works indoors and comes into contact with some of the following: animals, kids, sick, old, or homeless people Let's resume play, shall we?

OH - has everyone given up? Well, it looks like the interest in these games has temporarily waned. Skylark, you win the point, and thank you for playing. We'll give it a rest for a bit , then I'll think up some fresh fun to have, and post new threads.. BY THE WAY, Skylark is now in first place, with contest points! clickHOWEVER (oops) we are going to vote for best essay in the essay contest now, and the winner gets three points. Skylark, you need to win to keep the lead! But if Mike or Donna wins, there'll be a tie, and we'll need to run another contest next month. So I am looking for ideas for another contest. Anyone?
