Just heard the electricity meter reader guy at the meter box so we will now get our first full reading after installing solar power in July.
The 1.5kw system cost us just short of $2,000 to install and we're hoping it will save us $125 a quarter or $500 per year.

Woke up at 3:00 AM and came on here with a tea because I couldn't get back to sleep. I better go back to bed now though because I'm starting to think of food and that's not a good idea in the middle of the night (cookies, I've been thinking of chocolate chip cookies all day...maybe the kind with the m&m's, or little bits of walnut and... em, oops! You know what, I always say: "if you think about the food, the food will think about you!" (So don't think about the food)..
*starts doing Homer Simpson* "mmmm, coookies!"....

Wow! That is awesome Chips! I would love to do something like that! Let me know how it works out!
Storms most of the night......not a lot of rain but a whole lot of noise!! Two of our dogs are major chickens when it thunders so they kept us up a lot!!

Just ordered a new monitor. It's 6 inches bigger than my old one (so I can watch movies on it). It takes an HDMI connection which is becoming important. (VGA connections seem to be getting phased out, so the next time you buy a tower you could find yourself forced to get a new monitor to connect to it (they're always thinking of ways to make us re-buy something).

Back today from our break; enjoyed the holiday but the food was diabolical!
I never knew it was possible to mess up simple things like soup, salad and apple crumble.
The sausages and fried bread are breakfast were so inedible we fed them to the seagulls.
The regular chef was away on holiday and whoever they got to replace him must have been on work experience or something.
I've never had such disgusting food on any holiday I've ever been on!
And the shower head broke and grazed my leg and nearly scalded me with boiling water; the TV keep going on and off whenever it felt like it; and the whole place was rapidly christened Fawlty Towers by the guests.
I asked the manager if he ate at the hotel and he said no.
I'm not surprised!
Other than that the holiday was great!

Oh, tee hee! My monitor came. ;D Well I've gotta go offline to install it.
(I'm also going to remove the Alt buttons from my keyboard. Like the CapsLock button before them, they gotta go! (As far as I can tell the only thing they're for is creating weird scary moments when you think you just lost all your work by hitting one accidentally.)

Can you come to my house now!!! Still have all the painting to do here first, Sadie Then some work on the inside of the house. It's been crazy this year, and next year more stuff to do (once the snow clears). Hopefully that will be the end of it.

My new monitor is like a small TV (it's 23"). And I've got some kick-azz speakers too, so now I NEVER have to leave the computer, not even to go watch TV ! ;D That's Captain Meow, sitting over the top of my tower, on the right (I made a little shelf for him there - he's been using it for four years now - watches out the window and let's me know if anything goes on) Please forgive my fuzzy photography!

Well supposedly a twinkie...and I have always seen them.....are a kind of cake snack filled with cream.....it's a big joke that they will be the only food that survives after a nuclear blast.....not positive it is made of actual food......so they take this thing.....dip it in waffle/pancake batter......fry it on a stick and then sprinkle powdered sugar on it..........
