It's hard to understand this...the church orders people around, evicting parts of their loved one's grave, upsetting them when they are grieving...for infinitesimally petty "reasons" such as these??!!?

Almost begs the question of why they build walls around cemeteries.
No one on the inside can get out.... and as sure as hell no one on the outside wants to get in

What a sad story. I know that even civic cemetaries have rules about headstones, but surely it must have been possible to compromise somehow by altering it - taking the shine off, at least.

Ahhh....let me see.....Churches...that usually have extremely lavish decorations....gold leafing.....flowers all over the church......told someone that a headstone with three flowers was too lavish?
