Before I saw the pictures I always imagined them as resembling large garden sheds. Silly really when you considered how many people and the amount of equipment they needed to house.

That's quite a building they fastened together, considering they had to bring all the boards on a boat, carry them across ice, and assemble it in that weather. It looks like they did a solid job on the structure, but then just hurriedly half-assed some of the interior items together. Can't blame them. They no doubt just wanted to get a camp erected and get on with exploring! ...Google has a lot of money don't they? They can go to the South Pole just to take a picture of one hut! I saw Google Earth photographing my city's streets. They sent an economy car with good suspension and a tall camera mount attached to the top of it, and drove slowly up and down each street. I thought I'd be in there, because they filmed me walking but no such luck. I'm not gonna' get famous that way it seems!
