On BBC radio there is a programme entitled 'Desert Island Discs' where various celebrities choose 8 records and a book that, if they were shipwrecked upon a desert island, they would choose to take with them. The book must NOT be the Bible or Shakespeare.

Here are my 8 choices of record and my choice of reading material:

My choice of book is the magnum opus of my favourite philosopher. Arthur Schopenhauer, The World as Will and Representation
