Ingredients
16 chocolate wafer cookies, crushed (seriously....just Oreos...don't know why they just don't say that) 4 tablespoons butter, melted 3/4 cup milk, warmed 24 large marshmallows 1/4 cup creme de menthe liqueur 2 tablespoons white creme de cacao 1 cup whipping cream, whipped 1 cup whipped cream for garnish (optional) Directions
Mix chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter. Pat into the bottom and sides of 9- or 10-inch pie dish. Refrigerate at least one hour. In a saucepan, melt marshmallows in milk over medium heat. Remove from heat and cool to room temperature. Add the creme de menthe and creme de cacao and mix well. Fold in the whipped cream. Pour the filling into the chilled pie shell and freeze until firm, at least 4 hours. Slice the pie and add an additional dollop of whipped cream for serving, if desired.
****I cut back on the Creme de Menthe and the Creme de Cacao......

Wow! That looks lethal! Delightfully so.
It reminds me of smores, which I haven't tasted but I've watched my nephews toasting marshmallows on the fire and then sandwiching the gooey result between chocolate digestive biscuits.
I am not sure about the creme de menthe at all, it sounds as if it would be too strong but maybe it cuts through the richness of the pie? Have you made it without any liqueur at all and if so was was it just as nice?

Well...most of the recipes you add some green dye.....I just put one of two drops so it's not massively green.....but it's a great one for St. Patty's day....
It is actually great with the Creme De Menthe........but seriously.....cut back on the amounts. I did two tablespoons of the Menthe and Cacao....and a bit strong....maybe 1 1/2......

Ahh.. green!... and a name to freak out/entertain children too (so maybe the creme de menthe can be replaced by dye for them). Excellent.
Have you ever seen the Roald Dahl / Gary Rhodes cookbook that gives recipes for some of the unlikely foods found in the Roald Dahl stories? Bruce Bogtrotter cake? Snozzcumbers. Frobscuttle(?) Juice? That sort of thing. I got it when my daughter was little and it was so much fun.
