ACLU Fights for Sex Offender Facebook Rights

The problem with the sex offender registry is that there are three levels of "offenders", only one of which includes pedophiles and serial rapists. So the majority of the 800,000 (out of 300 million) Americans we have "registered" aren't monsters at all; they did things like urinating publicly, parking, having marital problems, and yes some of them did a little more serious than that stuff too, but the point is the public is encouraged to imagine a class of MONSTERS, and it gives them the erroneous idea that anyone who's being forced to register is a pedophile!
That's why the whole idea of having a registry was fought and won against in multiple courts. But much like the way our congressmen give themselves pay raises in the middle of the night, or like how Massachusetts voted AGAINST a seat belt law, but they enacted it against our wishes, so did having a registry get pushed through against court's wishes* no less. (The proposed Sex Offender Registry had been judged to be "double jeopardy", which is unconstitutional.)
And of course the whole reason the politicians were pushing so hard is because to get elected (or re-elected) one needs to project that there are great dangers he will be your savior from. So now we have hundreds of thousands of Americans being persecuted and blackballed life long, and viewed erroneously as horrible monsters by the public. (a little like Hitler's Jews, eh?)
Anyway, when you view the situation as it really is, you can see why the ACLU is fighting for these people.

The ACLU was once a very respectable organization. They have since been taken over by far left radicals and, as a result, are now a completely worthless organization with zero positive attributes.
