This doesn't surprise me. Christians are known to have very active sex lives, it's always been encouraged. As is having many children.

How bizarre........but hey.....more power to them. Better than the ones that try and make sex appear evil or sinful.

The U.S. Constitution guarantees freedom of religion and churches enjoy tax free status. Being a pastor is a perfect setup for a con man. He can bleed the congregation without incurring tax liabilities. Here is the full story on this sleazy pastor. www.wfaa.com/news/investigates/Prominent-Pastor-Linked-to-Luxury-83600192.htmlHe flies around in an $8 Million dollar private jet, lives in a huge mansion, pays himself an monster salary and expense account, etc. I'd be very very surprised if this man believes in god. He is a scam artist of the highest order.

sadie, it can be confusing. Sex OUTSIDE of marriage is very much looked down on, but sex within it is encouraged. Maybe it's a way to keep the husbands (and wife's) from straying? Who knows.
BushAdmirer, I'd read about that kind of stuff before. In all honesty, from what I've seen, much of the money collected for 'Church' seems to go into making those that work for it wealthy. It's a very controlling organization. they help each other, but frown upon anyone who is not a Christian.
I know of a church that has only family members (about 10 or 12 people in all), including six kids that belong to the pastor and his wife, and they receive money from many churches in the US. I was surprised just how much they get. They own their own house, plus the church building, which is quite big, and are now thinking of buying 100's of acres in land too. And they are only in their late 20's.

by the same token, the church that i was raised in gave the pastor twenty-five dollars a week, if and when the money was there. he worked forty hours a week in construction to support his family, since the church pay was quite infrequent.

Good point Jumbo. I think are two kinds of preachers:
1. The con man who does it for the money and lies up a storm, and
2. The conned man who bought into the nonsense hook, line, and sinker. He's devoted his life to spreading the nonsense.
