For the first time ever I saw a wild turkey on Sunday and never realized how big they are or that they aren't very nice as it attacked my license plate and never flinched when I blew the horn at it.
I realized that alot of my fear comes from seeing the movie The Birds when I was younger as all I could think was that this huge bird was going to peck my eyes out in the San Quentin parking lot!!!!!!!!
Now as one gets closer to the East Block visiting room there are lot of Canadian geese that like hanging around the prison and the grassy area next to the water and when they had young ones they would hiss at me if I got to close.
I don't like big birds one bit especially if they gobble or hiss at me.

I know a woman that had geese. She loved them and they were wonderful and almost adoring of her. If anyone drove into her yard though the geese would actually attack the car.....seriously they would bite the car wherever they could. You could get out of the car but they would honk (is that how you describe the noise they make???) and circle around you!! They were really scary!! She always said they were better than guard dogs.

I went to a junkyard in Oklahoma where they used geese instead of guard dogs; I wasn't to happy and hoped they wouldn't attack until we had found the car engine I needed.

We are in the process of cleaning out my inlaws home. My FIL passed away over a year ago and my MIL has severe Alzheimers. Well.....my MIL collected dolls and also made them. There are probably thousands. I am starting to gather them up, clean them and get them ready to put on EBay........ok.......well....the dolls really freak me out. They all seem to stare at you......doesn't matter if you are moving around......they just watch you. I've already told hubby that if any of them move on their own or start talking I am OUT OF THERE and then I will pile them up and burn them!!!!!!! I swear I've seen horror movies that had less dolls!!!

Friends of ours are home shopping. Last week, they went to look at a very nice house that backed onto a little wooded area and then a valley on down to the river.
One of the selling points the real estate lady mentioned was that deer and wild turkey roam free and sometimes come right up to the back patio. Our friends were a bit unsure about the value of that. Personally, I'd have decided against the house then and there. We have deer and, sweet as they are, they are destructive and messy.
Wild turkeys? No thanks. Probably why the owners are moving.

I would try and put up a six foot privacy fence and maybe that would keep the wildlife out and let me enjoy my land. The lady at the humane society said turkeys are agressive so who could share a backyard with one?

Maybe turkeys are aggressive because they know all about Christmas!

Like a little army...ready to take over the world.
