www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-bradford-west-yorkshire-12184892For the Yorkshire Ripper at least it does! Good news, for the victims families and the rest of society. I don't agree with the death penalty and I am glad we do not have it in the UK but I do think that sentence given should be served. Killing 13 people should not mean you can expect an old age in society. Life means life, society is not where you belong.

Well, I do support the death penalty and wish we still had it because Sutcliffe is a prime candidate for why we need it. On the other hand, I'll take genuine LWOP in his case as the best of the alternative punishments. This monster has shown no remorse and even some of his fellow prisoners hate and despise him. What a waste of space!

what punishment for sutcliffe when he is dead? None.
By knowing he will never taste freedom he really understands what punishment is

what punishment for sutcliffe when he is dead? None. By knowing he will never taste freedom he really understands what punishment is I think stringing him up at the end of a rope would have the same effect on him. Anyway, if I believed in hell I'm sure Sutcliffe would go there by express delivery!

I've been told if there is a hell, that's likely where I'm going so I'd really really like him to find remorse and go the other way!

Good result. Most excellent.
But no one really thought it would go any other way, right?

Whenever Death Penalty conversations arise, I am reminded of a few years ago when Italian Lifers campaigned for a timely Death Penalty. Good, I thought, you must be pretty miserable alive.
