Mackinnon knew what he was doing was wrong, and perahps deserves to be taken to task over it, whatever his motives.
The whole thing should have been dealt with by our own judicial system, and his culpability (including his mental capacity and motives) taken into account when deciding punishment.
If we can't try him over here, then I feel uneasy about sending him to America. It may well prove to be using a sledgehammer to crack a nut.

So long as the USA refuses to be part of the international legal system and to ratify the Rome Treaty that set up the International Criminal Court, I think we should refuse to extradite ANYONE to them.

It should be quite worrying that someone who is reckoned not to be that good at hacking still managed to get into the Pentagon's computers. What the hell were they using for a password? Password12345?
