Some rather gloomy figures for David Cameron to get to grips with on his first day. We've just learned that unemployment rose by 53,000 between January and March to 2.51 million, the highest since 1994. The number of people considered "economically inactive" has also risen by nearly 100,000 to just under 8.2 million, but the number of people claiming unemployment benefit has dropped by 27,000, more than expected. news.bbc.co.uk/1/shared/election2010/liveevent/
