Came across this the other day. It's not the most profound article I have read, but some of it struck a chord.
Mens rules for women. 1) Learn to work the toilet seat. If it's up, put it down. You don't hear us complaining when you leave it down, do you?
2_Saturday is for sport. Like the full moon, or the changing of the tide. Let it be. And while on the subject, shopping is NOT a sport, and we will never think of it that way.
3)Crying is blackmail.
4) If you want something, then ASK for it. Let us be clear. Subtle hints don't work. Strong hints don't work. Obvious hints don't work. Just say it!
5)"Yes" and "no" are perfectly adequate responses to most questions.
6)Come to us with a problem only if you want help in solving it. Sympathy we don't do; that is for girlfriends!
7) Anything that we said over six months ago is inadmissible in an argument. In fact, ALL comments made more than seven days ago are null and void!
8) If you think your bum looks big in that, it probably does, so don't ask us!
9)If something we said can be interpreted two ways, and one of those makes you angry, or sad, ....we meant the other one!
10)You can either ask us how to do something, or tell us how you want it done. Not both! If you already know how to do it, then do it yourself.
11)Whenever possible, please say whatever you have to say during the commercials.
12) Christopher Columbus didn't need directions, and neither do we!
13)If we ask you what is wrong, and you say "nothing", we will act like nothing's wrong. We know you are lying, but it's just not worth the hassle.
14)If you ask a question you don't want an answer to, expect an answer you don't like.
15)When we are going out, absolutely ANYTHING you wear is OK. REALLY!!!!!!
16)Don't ask us what we are thinking, unless you are prepared to discuss sex, sport or cars.
17)You have enough clothes.
18) you have too many shoes!
