am very much in favour of legalized brothels...i also cannot see why some working girls can run their own private business all legal and above board much better for all concerned not state run though....but run as businesses

oh lor..sorry they apose because they wish to remain independent instead of being registered or made to be part of a brothel...probably more about making cash and not having to pay for the brothel out of earnings and of course when things get legalised..""working "" conditions etc

i cant make the link work either...but it was quite a large demonstration.. am not sure if they could set up as sle traders..one assumes they could BUT i think the regulation were it to be legalized would be across the board sole traders included[lol] of course many ARE already sole traders....but its not a taxable income and i dint suppose that would find favour...and of course the pimps and runners would lose out in the long term i am all in favour...has anyone been dowm Montmartre at night???and have they peered through the ""sex shop"" through the little holes they leave in the blacked out windows ?? also the variety of stuff and girls on offer.....i saw two women they must have been in their late 50,s real dogs they were..but they were doing a roaring trade...gawd knows what they were offering but what ever it was it was popular

way back in the 70.s i took my youngest son for a real introduction to Paris..just the two of us we had just gone past[on foot] the follies bergere when we were accosted by a man who wished to buy my son... and as we walked up the road these guys were whistling to the next guy who also offered to by him and so on about 6 times in all...we took refuge in one of the larger café,s where the waiters rang for a taxi for us son at the time was around 14 small... for his age and very pretty with a mass of dark aurburn curls,,big brown eyes etc ...we often laugh about how i could have got a good price for him....not funny really and it was a little scary at the time but we survived and it was a good lesson for him

I had the most dreadful moment in Montmatre when we were there to seek out a prom dress for The Child. She was 15. I held onto her grimly but even so there were several awful attempts to push through our joined hands - several men got between us and tried to move us apart. It happened two or three times. Bloody scarey.

not too bad during the day but at night..... as you say...very scary....i made the son hold my hand at the first whistle and he hadnt done that while walking and he hadnt done that since i used to collect him as school... because you know if you were to be seperated you wouldnt find them again...
