I voted for you Jade - though I notice that there is now a 'retract' button which the boards didn't have a year ago. So you'd better agree with everything I say from now on.

I'd say there was some serious collusion going on here, and money may have changed hands.

Just out of interest: I know that admins can alter a poster's karma and post count to increase or reduce them by whatever level the admin wishes, but can they do the same with the current results of open polls? Or are they stuck with only the ability to increase an option by one vote, like the rest of us.

I don't know if the board owner does, but I believe this came up somewhere else once before, and the answer is that no, the board owner can't tamper with poll results either. Happy to be wrong . . .but i think all the votes are legit.

All posters are equal - one vote per ID no matter if you're admin or not. Per ID, I said. Not per person per se. There is nothing to stop an evil admin creating 25 IDs and voting with them all. Let's call for an inquiry. Let's lynch Lin!

As you know on this board the member of the month gets 10 extra karma points for the honor! On another proboard forum you get 10 extra karma points, if you bring a new member to the board! On still another proboard forum the admin gave members, who were unfairly or excessively bashed with smites plus karma points and likewise karma points were taken away, if the admin felt they weren't deserved!

Both newish, Gabriel; at least one of whom is a refugee from another board I post on.
I fancy I may know Octopus from somewhere. In fact, I'm prepared to bet a couple of squid.

Hello Gabriel
Nice to meet you
You may have met me as Dayzzee elsewhere, Zara_Thustra from a goodly while ago or my alternate clones, CaraMia, Ravonne, TheFirstMrsRochester, Xanthippe, or even DelightedPolyanna
there you go. Niceties over
Now vote for me!
(actually I did not give Xanthippe a fair crack of the whip. She may come back.)

Wow, I belong to over 50 message boards and I don't remember ANY of those aliases.
(Mind you, lately I've been concentrating on just four or five and so I may well have just been unlucky.)

Let's call for an inquiry. Let's lynch Lin! Trubble, have you got a death wish? 'Let's lynch Lin!' Seriously, though, there IS something to stop me creating multiple IDs and voting with them all. In the first place, Mike and I almost always vote for different candidates in the MOM contest. Secondly, my other senior staff - Alpha Hooligan, Riotgrrl and Anna - have the ability to see members IPs and so they'd know at once if I'd done something like that. (I do hope you were joking, Trubbs!)

Not to mention HupsyDazy. I don't think she is actually a refugee from anywhere (except the places that got shut down) - she's just very, very free with her favours.
