Hope we've not got one these already I often love a film because of one particular scene that does it for me. The bit that would wear out on the old style video tape. Post your favourites! I'll start with a few of mine.

It would be more pleasing for you to share your own choices rather than critique those of others. What do YOU like?
Thanks

That was a memorable scene, mouse. On The Beach = one of my favorite post apocalyptic movies. I'm trying to find some of the things I like in short clips. Hard to do since YT has taken to packing a lot of things together. There are 2 other scenes in this movie I like just as well as this one, but can't find. This one has my favorite line though - "just fear me, love me, do as I say and I will be your slave". hahahahahahah www.youtube.com/watch#playnext=1&playnext_from=TL&videos=fopzALJx_W4&v=FmgmXgoBZFo

Probably the greatest film ending ever... Well, I agree on one level, but... ...So three astronauts land on a planet that apes live on and can talk perfect English, yet Heston does not twig that he is on Earth? Oh, and why does every sci-fi film have to have a 'forbidden zone'?

Some suspension of disbelief is required for most sci-fi...most movies actually. I like it when we see aliens speaking in their native language and they run subs across the screen though (Wing Commander etc). Oh, "forbidden zones" are cool...always plenty of adventure to be had in such places. AH

Underrated movie IMO...not the best, but they nailed a really realistic naval look and feel for the human fleet. AH
