www.koat.com/news/19016405/detail.html QUOTE: Teens Experiment With Digital Drugs POSTED: 11:25 pm MDT March 25, 2009 UPDATED: 5:35 am MDT March 26, 2009 ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- Experimenting with digital drugs is just one of the latest online worries for parents. Many teenagers are already hip to a new thing called, "I-Dosers." It's a Web site that claims to sell a simulated high for drugs like marijuana, cocaine and opium. On You Tube, plenty of people have posted videos stating it's their reaction to what the company says is binaural beats, or sounds that interact with brain waves to give the feeling of being high. A hypnotherapist said in some ways it's just old technology in new packaging. "I use light and sound all the time, I have used it for 10 years in my private practice, and I can truly understand why this is being marketed the way it is, who it is being marketed to with the price," said Lois Prinz. She also added that binaural beats can be used in many ways. She said it can also be applied as a soothing sleep aid.

What a strange way to behave.
I can understand the attraction of drugs and alcohol but this kind of behaviour strikes me as utterly absurd.
Whatever next?

Isn't that what was always at the heart of all rock music? Ultimately can trace its origin back to African beats synchronised (or in Voodoo out of synch) with brain and heart rhythms, and other hypnotic chant systems? It sounds a whole lot healthier than messing physiology around with drugs.

I have mixed feelings about these "simulated highs" and of course the producers of the "I-Dosers" want money for their "highs". I'll certainly agree that if someone feels driven to get high this is certainly better than using physical drugs.. I don't have the time to join this I-Doser forum, but those who are into "simulated highs" tell of their experiences here. www.i-doser.com/forum/
