Manchester City have been banned from European club competition for the next two seasons after being found to have committed "serious breaches" of Uefa's club licensing and financial fair play regulations. The reigning Premier League champions have also been fined 30m euros (£25m). The decision is subject to appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport. The fine is just small change to them but banning them from Europe for 2 years will seriously hurt them. It might make it harder for them to sign players, harder for them to hold on to Guardiola and harder for them to motivate their players.
I know how for many clubs in the Premier League just surviving is enough. For the big clubs winning is everything and for a club like City to be banned will hurt them big time.

I don't know fully what they have done to be banned, but it is a shame. They are one of best clubs around. If not the best.
