To kronks: Class is worse in India as you are not allowed to marry anyone in a different class as yourself. That is not the case in Britain. I'd value Deyana's input on this but you're confusing social norms with the law of the land. It is NOT the law of the land in India that Dalits or lower caste Hindus cannot marry higher caste Hindus. And to Muslims, Sikhs, Jains and Buddhists none of the caste system norms apply in any case. And the position of Dalits and lower caste Hindus HAS improved (especially since a Dalit became Indian Prime Minister a few years ago- yes, I know he's not Prime Minister any more but even so.) I thought the caste situation was still much the same. I'm glad things have improved.

Women have half of the money and all of the vaginas. They're in charge. I wouldn't know about that. I know a couple who, immediately the honeymoon period was over, the man turned to his wife and said: " From now on you will do as I say." Marriage is a partnership as far as I am concerned.

The thing is there is often a big difference in opinion how much house work need to be done. It certainly seem to be more possible in the past to survive on one income, I think when women stay home maybe men could demand higher wages? So in the past the factory owners were only profiting from the men they now profit from the women too and give them just enough to live on.
I am talking about the men who work full time and think that entitles them to do nothing , there is more than "nothing" to be done housework wise. Especially when there are small children, as they demand an enormous amount of attention.

Funny I saw a youtube video toda about a women who decided to go travelling alone in India for a month, she only lasted 3 days cos it is not really possible to be a
single woman travelling alone in India, it is just not safe!
That"s what I thought. I read that women out on their own were sexually attacked.

The whole point is that nowadays a person can change their gender. Quite a few people have had an operation to completely be the gender that they have chosen. They have their eggcells and sperm saved, to be used at a later date. That way, they can still pass on their DNA.
They can't really change their gender, men will never be able to bear children. Having eggs and sperm saved does not really change your gender.
Just saw a documentary type show on TV show a former man with an actual vagina which he was viewing with a mirror. He was also given gel breasts, and had his jawline altered. One day it may be possible to install a womb. He was suicidal before the change now she is happy living as a woman.

Does tend to happen it is not very safe for a single woman at all there out by herself. It is not
really the done thing.

They might say they are suicidal to get stuff done for free.
I can't really see a man giving birth, it is tough enough for women!

His wife would be aware of whether he had another job. There is a lot of work entailed in keeping a house clean and buying groceries for meals. You just seem to be going all day long. I was lucky if I got 4 hours sleep before the day's chores started all over again.

It is the males who decide that a woman is not safe on her own for they are the ones who are responsible for her lack of safety.

Who would willingly go through all the different procedures that are necessary in order to change your gender? A person would have to be in agony of mind to want it in the first place.

It IS tough, but some women suffer more than others and are in labour for much longer than what is considered reasonable. Usually if that is the case, they will be given a Cesarean Section, which is an operation on the womb and removing the baby that way, so that would be pretty horrendous.

Their outward appearance can be changed and that is the crux of the matter. It is important for transgenders to be accepted as the gender that they want to be. That is the reason that they have these operations.

It only take a few bad one to make it unsafe though, it is not all men, just a small minority.
But the culture in India is very different to the UK and Western countries, also it is a poor county with poor law enforcement.

I think it is more a mental health problem, you should not be mutilating your body like that, not if you are sane anyway, you are never gonna truly change sex, so why bother?
I was reading about Frank Maloney (now Kellie) the boxing promoter recently.
Even after changing sex issues remain so I don't think it is a real solution. More on the link.

I guess in the past some women would have died in child birth so they would not have passed on genes that make it difficult to give birth.
It may be in future women may not be able to give birth naturally if they keep having Cesareans .

What for instance? Work on the car can garden and other heavier work household maintenance, building type work, it depends when I was young my mother did not work but my dad did so he did no house work really. Then we had a shop when my mother worked but he had his job and also did working and for the shop on top of that so he did not do much house work after that either. When they retired he did more house work but he also did a a lot of other stuff, building type work, putting up fences and household maintenance. In general it makes sense for the men to do the heavier and dirtier work.
You don't want to be making the dinner with your hands cover in engine oil.

Yea but often they still will not be truly accepted so it can be very difficult for them people who had known them as man for years will often have a hard time accepting them as a women, even their own family, so it is not an easy solution, they are trading one set of problem for another.
I also not quite a few who transition were formerly famous and then dropped out of the lime light and may do it to get themselves back in the public eye??
