The moderate Muslims are with rare exceptions at best useless in opposing extremism. Only the Mideastern dictorships that the high finance elite in the US + Western Europe had overthrown were able to contain the extremists.

I'm seriously thinking about locking this thread and moving it to Vendetta.
In the meantime I'll just say that even though I'm NOT a Muslim my brother-in-law is and it's personally offensive to me to have to put up with this kind of dishonest religious bigotry.

Hi Big Lin, You have said that you are a Christian and it says in the Bible that a person will be judged by their thoughts as well as their actions. You cannot stop people from thinking the way that they do.if the thought is uttered or typed as a post, you are offended, so why bother moving it to vendetta. Thoughts are still potent enough to be picked up by sensitive people, so really thoughts are impinging on people all the time even though they are not uttered, therefore if the person is conversing with you, they are still thinking the thoughts that offend you, so as far as I am concerned, nothing has changed. If moving a post to another page makes you happy. By all means, do so.

Hi Anna, sometimes it is very difficult to know what action to take. I'm a pacifist myself, so don't believe in violence. It would appear that in order to stand up to violent people, you are put in a position that you have to use violence yourself. How can a person then be a pacifist if they are forced to use violence in order to quell violence. An Enigma of life, for sure.!!!

If moving a post to another page makes you happy. By all means, do so. Look, this is MY board. I try very hard to allow all points of view to be presented. I didn't even ban the holocaust deniers who posted their filth on here even though their lies sickened me. My uncle was a survivor of Auschwitz so you can imagine how much it stuck in my craw to let them peddle their lies. Now because my husband is seriously ill I haven't had the time I'd like to take care of things on here or to post as much as I'd like. But I'm getting very fed up with hate-filled prejudice, selective quotations and even downright LIES being presented as if they were sober truth. Now I was raised as a Presbyterian and eventually decided that Presbyterianism was as much against the spirit of Our Lord as Catholicism, Koresh, and various other cults that pretend to be Christian. I KNOW from personal EXPERIENCE about Islam; my brother-in-law is a Muslim (and he married my sister in a church!; I have Muslim friends; I've read the Quran, lots of works by Muslim scholars, talked to Imams and lived and worked in two Muslim countries. Frankly when I talk about Islam I talk from KNOWLEDGE and EXPERIENCE but to those who speak out of IGNORANCE and PREJUDICE my knowledge and experience count for nothing. Now I'd like to see people getting off their lazy arses and start THINKING instead of just swallowing propaganda. But in any case I'm getting bored with the same old song and wish people would find something else to talk about.

Hi Big Lin, People will always have different viewpoints on the subject. I do believe that the holocaust took place and the attrocities that were reported to have happened is true We can't change the past and as there are many people who believe that it never happened. Protesting that it did won't change anything
You do seem to have inside knowledge so probably see things differently from the rest of us. I read the Koran years ago, but I can't remember much about it now. I just know what is in the news since the ISIS terrorists first unleashed their terror in France. Violence will never end as long as people believe that you have to fight violence with violence. It will just go on and on.

If bullies are up against total pacifists the bullies will run the show. Hi Anna. When it comes down to the crux of the matter, each individual is really only responsible for their own behaviour not for anyone else's, so we each have the hard decision as to what course to take. It is very confusing at times.. I do know that no person is going to move forward spiritually if they are still behaving in a violent and aggressive manner and a choice has to be made. We are supposed to reach a stage where we are meek mannered and humble. How is that achieved?

You'd be surprised how a forceful, resolute and confrontive stare alone can unsettle bullies.

Hi Anna,I believe in God so I listen to God's word and from what I know, God wants us to be meek mannered and humble, is this how you would describe yourself when you are advocating trying to stop the bullies. God says that we should love our enemies. Is what you are stipulating the right way to go? The minute we promote violence we are disobeying God. And besides that, we have become as violent as the bullies.when is this kind of behaviour going to end?

Hi Anna, Do you always use a confrontive forceful stare when you are dealing with those you are supposed to love, at God's request?

If bullies are up against total pacifists the bullies will run the show. Hi Anna, If we should then retaliate, we are behaving in the very same way that we dislike so much in the bullies.

Hi BLC, who said that he got mad? In all that we read about Jesus, he never showed any anger. Yes he might have overturned the tables of the money changers, but it could have been in a controlled 'matter of fact' way. To let them know that they were not to do what they were doing.
There is a difference.!!! Jesus came to teach by example, which doesn't necessarily mean that he was consumed with anger. Nowhere in the Bible does it show that Jesus ever showed anger.so you are just assuming that he was full of anger. He was a very special person, sent by God.

I try to avoid the debate about who is a true Muslim. There is a lot of infighting in Islam. Mideastern/Islamic nations keep their borders closed to Muslim immigrants + refugees from other countries because of the danger of terrorism. We should follow this example. iamjumbo DAS (formerly BushAdmirer) @menantol kronks blc Big Lin

So many contradictions in Islam. Those two videos that Anna posted do a good job of laying them out for us.
