The answer is Harlem, but the song is That's Why the Lady is a Tramp and has been recorded by many, many artists - Lena Horne, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, etc..It was originally a show tune but I don't know the name of the play. 3. 4. Right Track, Wrong Train Cyndi Lauper (guessing wildly) 5. Portobello road? 6. Is this Morning Train - Sheena Easton? If so, I think it says "may baby takes the Morning train (to work) and "another" home from work. 7. Trains and Boats and Planes, Burt Bacharach 8. ? Downtown? 9. 10. Is this a trick question? The song is California Dreamin', The Mamas and The Papas, but the song never indicates WHERE the leaves are brown and the sky is gray. hmmm . . . unless you're thinking "near a church". Thanks for the quiz, Lin, That was fun.

Riot has 4 points and Beth 10.
I'm absolutely amazed no one's got question 1 right, by the way.
It's a real classic of American rock!

Answer 4, by the way, Riot, is NOT the one I was looking for.
Try thinking WAY further back!
(Long before you or I were born - and no, I DON'T mean music hall either !)

So it must be Chatanooga Choo Choo and #1 could be Mack the Knife since it was recorded by Louie Armstrong - tho' the term "Mack the finger" is confusing.

It's not 'Mack the Knife' (which was a Kurt Weill/Bert Brecht collaboration).
It's by an American legend, for goodness sake!

I'm familiar with a lot of that singer's material, but not that particular album. I was only about 10 yrs old when it came out and this artist was not a favorite of my parents, so they didn't buy his recordings. Funny how many things go into which music we're familiar with.

I wasn't even BORN when it came out but my Dad LOVED his stuff and played it a lot.
By the way, you've now got 11 points!
