Let me just pick one example, Lin, the fourth link you provided.
He says (as his primary reason the US govt. didnt stage these attacks):
"he's claiming that the US government, for whatever ends, killed nearly
3,000 innocent Americans, and tens if not hundreds of thousands of more
lives in the conflicts that ensued because of it."And there's why I cant go along with anyone so far whose tried to suggest
it was all on the up and up: because their reason is - like a child in disbelief -
"mommy and daddy (the govt) wouldnt kill their own people.
It's unimaginableThat's not a researched assumption. It ignores undisputable facts (there are a few). And it's just an emotional, knee-jerk, ejaculation.
I myself said "they COULDNT HAVE (done it)" for several years.
Because IT IS hard to swallow that Uncle Sam would attack his own people.
It's incredulous and unspeakable if true.
But it isnt the first time.
In the 50's, in three states, radiation was dropped on communities
so the govt could measure the lethal and fatal effects.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unethical_human_experimentation_in_the_United_StatesThats wikipedia. I first heard about these "experiments in the interest of national security"
on PBS - a reputable vetted source.
But i shouldnt offer examples. I find it hard to imagine anyone thinks the US Government is
moral. Example of its immorality: killing over a million Iraqi citizens and decimating their
country just for profit and personal revenge on the part of the Bush Family.
*hands up* It's the American Government we're talking about! and the Pentagon.
This is the country that feels it's its "manifest destiny" to rule the whole world,
and whom drafted a "pre-emptive warring doctrine and list of countries to be
invaded (Iraq, Iran, North Korea... about a dozen in total, ALL in the middle east
in one area where the oil is). It's the country that WOULD stage an attack so
it could get to carry out those plans.
Again, what I find unconvincing otherwise is emotional knee jerk assumptions
that since it'd be a dreadful thing, the United States wouldn't do it.
Of course it would. It's the United States.
And besides, all I've said is actually true
1 - there WERE multiple explosions, and the buildings DID fall as if imploded
2 - the hole in the Pentagon was not that which a plane would make, and no plane was seen flying in in the confiscated and re-released video
3 - the Pentagon had motive.
That's all I'm really saying.
Why is that so incredulous? It's true! We all saw it!
Plus I might point out, take it easy on me folks, it isnt the easiest role to play devil's advocate as I'm doing, for the sake of discussion.
All I really wanted from a poll was to see the numbers.
Of the American people, a third (that's the lowest number I could find, as reported by CNN) think 9-11 was an inside job. (Other polls say considerably higher
And there's a reason so many feel we were not told the truth: the details of the situation don't add up right.
How do you explain the way the buildings fell?
How do you explain building 7 falling at all
(Lin one of your links suggests we set charges and demolished it for safety reasons. But that takes professionals days to prepare, it seems ludicrous to purport that some firemen did it on the spot, while contending with a huge disaster. It wouldn't even be procedure. Procedure would have been to get everyone away from it and cordon the area off
