So I'm an admin (assuming this means 'founder') / co-admin (assuming this means a founder's loyal helper) / member / and lurker
Hmm...seems to me we all start out as lurkers, then climb from there as we learn things

It depends on my mood........there's days I just want to read and don't feel like sharing.....probably when I'm in a bad mood.......feel the need to have some contact but am more likely to be mean and say hostile things........

On here I'm an admin; on another board I'm a mod; and on loads of boards I'm an ordinary member!
Lurking - yes, I used to do it before my big mouth got in the way and I started posting!

Good geeked this is an old post of mine from 2013 ! Where has the time gone.? Hi Gibby, They do say that sometimes the past does come back to haunt us. Maybe it is to remind us of something that we need to remember NOW? Think about it.!!! BTW, shouldn't it be 'Good Grief' I've never heard of Good geeked before.

Hi Gibby, I'm talking about the young people in Australia. These are the slang expressions that they use.But to have a geek ( look ) I've known that expression a way back when I lived in Scotland haven't you heard of that one?

I can kind of vaguely remember a word for look but I an not too sure about it, I was thinking "deck", anyhow I googled it and apparently "butchers hook" is cockney rhyming slang for look. Also say it says "dekko" = a look. Origin: from Hindi, brought to southeast England by the British army returning from India. The word has been used outside its mother language for at least 50 years. So maybe that is where I got "deck" from, deck being short for dekko. But I only remember it vaguely, I think perhaps in my youth one of my brothers friends used that word, he had a brother in the Army and maybe he got it from him? Apparently "skeet" is also another word for look but I am not sure I've ever heard that one.

We would say: give us a decko when we wanted to have a look. I didn't know dekko was Indian for look, I've never heard of skeet either. Thanks for the info.!!!
